Interested to know from anyone who has purchased this pistol what they think of it in general and the trigger specifically. Have looked at some reviews on Youtube but would be interested in hearing more. The gun really looks interesting and I suppose like other IWI products should do well in terms of ergonomics. My main concern would be the aftermarket. There is yet one IWI handgun in particular that broke through to becoming "main stream. And well BUT now there are also a ton of Turkish firearms to compete with too.
I think this is also why the price point reflects that Jericho old school steel frame are pretty sought after I, myself, want one Handled at the LGS. Build quality seemed satisfactory. But ergonomics, I didn not like how it felt!
It felt very narrow in the backstrap area and that leads me to believe it would feel like shooting a super slim subcompact. But that was just my impression. The Beretta APX on the other hand, had a great feel to it! Id cough up a little more coin and go APX if it were me. I Like the pistol, I hate the worn off road tire tread slide treatment.
I don't know if this matters to you but it is a cool feature to have. You can pull out the innards and change frames, so you can go from subcompact, to compact, to full size frames, and even get different colors frames provided that iwi makes them. Upload or insert images from URL.Much more than just another striker-fired pistol, the MASADA features a low profile barrel for reduced perceived recoil. Fully ambidextrous controls and enhanced ergonomics which provide a natural and instinctive pointing grip angle.
Three interchangeable wrap around back-straps coupled with the deep beavertail enabling the MASADA pistol to fit a wide variety of hand sizes. Like all IWI firearms, it is built to withstand and endure all types of military use and abuse in extremely harsh environmental conditions.
MASADA utilizes a modular serialized high grade steel trigger mechanism housing that can be easily removed, allowing simple and easy disassembly and maintenance. Featuring a built-in trigger safety, the pistol will not fire unless the trigger is pulled. Lot of truth here. I am curious to know the reason behind that as the Israelis are not known for putting form over function. Maybe some Beretta APX in the trigger appearance. The design language looks like someone shook a Babblefish until it threw up.
Maybe I'm missing something, but aside from IWI wanting in on the striker-fired polymer market, this gun is quite unremarkable. Looks like it's not a Glock brand Glock.
Good to see more people jumping on the striker fired bandwagon. Hopefully it'll meet import criteria. Sent from my XT using Tapatalk. The notched grip and magazine base-pads look just like my Beretta APX. Plus this Masada has the removable fire control system like the APX. I know that Beretta has made the APX extremely reliable. Hopefully this is too. I attached a picture of my APX where the grip meets the magazine.
Look at it compared to the Masada in the video at the mark. They look very similar. Both seemed to have the flared magazines bases on their sides to grab them better.

Looks strangely similar to the Ruger RAP. Q Cautious, careful, concerned, but cool and calm Originally posted by fritz: quote:. I was thinking this too. Since they're not likely to get much penetration in to the LE market, coming out with the duty sized version is a mistake. They should have cut it down to compact, and even subcompact sizes, and introduced them.
Maybe that would get them a little penetration into the civilian market. But wherever they try to position this, it's going to be a tough row to hoe. The entire striker fired market is saturated, and I don't see anything about this gun that distinguishes it from the competition. Il Cattivo. Since it relies on that stupid nerve-pinching safety tab in the face of the trigger, it's old tech. Espineli Trading said on June 30 that delivery will be soon. Espineli through negotiated procurement for the delivery of pistols worth PHP53, I held and dryfired one the other day.
It was fine but nothing really jumped out at me either way. I liked the mag release and the trigger seemed good. I'd have liked for them to bring out a compact or subcompact as well. Originally posted by Anubismp: I held and dryfired one the other day.
IWI Masada - Anyone have one?
I've had it to the range twice now, not bad! Handled one last week last week at my LGS. Impressed with the feel of the grip, machining of the slide looked great, ambi controls functioned properly, sights were standard 3-dot and the magazines looked quality.
Two things I didn't like was there is almost no bevel to the mag well and the trigger reset was considerably long. Put my hands on one Monday. Here it is!The Masada is IWI's first entry into the striker fired pistol market. The new Israeli pistol can be provided with or without thumb activated manual safety.
After a short wait and some teasing, Israel Weapon Industries IWI has officially introduced its new Masada family of 9mm striker-fired pistols for military, law enforcement and civilian purchase. There is an external extractor integrated with a tactile and visual loaded chamber indicator. The slide stop and magazine release are fully ambidextrous. Combat-style sights are standard - fixed 3-dot tritium illuminated Meprolight night sights are optional.
The pistol weight without the magazine is Having a completely ambidextrous system, coupled with IWI's famous performance, will make this a serious contender for civilian and government customers.

Whether it's just clever marketing or there is some truth ….Password Home Forums Advertise. Likes Received Looks like IWI is now releasing a polymer striker fired hand gun. Sorry I just had too. SissyTalk and Flash LB like this.
Bought one this week. My nomination for most bang for buck. Really well built. Comes with slide cut out for optics and mounting plates. Feels to me like a natural pointer with the medium back strap. Also come with 2 other size back plates for grips. It is very fast pistol. Trigger is on the good side of medium but very smooth.
Only minor niggle is sight seems to lift just a smidgen to left which I think will be well corrected by a Gas Pedal or Israeli style grip. There are a lot of polymer pistols out there but this is definitely one of better ones.
Czechvar likes this. I had a chance to hold one at a recent gun show and it has a grip that says buy me. Without a manual safety I probably will take a pass a stick to my IWI Baby Desert Eagle but if this is your kind of gun it seems like a lot of quality firearm for the money IWI doesn't mess around.
I saw one at an LGS.Designed for military, law enforcement and civilian markets, the first model in the IWI Masada lineup is a full-size 9mm offering. It will be available the first quarter of It sports a 4.
